Trails North ATV Club Safety Stop

Event Date: Saturday, May 25, 2013
Location: Iron River, WI

Event Time(s): 10:00am - 3:00pm (both days)

Trails North ATV Club Plans Safety Stop To raise awareness on ATV/UTV and snowmobiling safety.

Trails North ATV’ers Inc. will be staging a Safety Awareness Stop on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 in Iron River Wisconsin. The “Stop” will be held at the trail head parking lot next to Iron River Auto Parts along the Tri-County Corridor from10 AM to 3 PM on both days. There will be snacks, soft drinks and prizes for participants. All ATV/UTV and Snowmobile enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.

As the numbers of ATV/UTVs increase in our state, along with the numbers of snowmobilers that frequent our area, the need to bring attention to trail safety is past due. According to the Wisconsin DNR the number of ATV/UTV fatalities for the 2012 season totaled 15 and the 2012-2013 snowmobile season was 19 people state wide.

Trails North ATV’ers Inc., a non-profit organization located in Iron River Wisconsin, has a history of making the trail systems of Bayfield County safer for not only ATV/UTV riders, but also snowmobilers as the club maintains over 50 miles of trails throughout the summer and also preps these trails for winter snowmobiling.

The Club’s 3 instructors hold as many as 3 ATV safety certification courses throughout the year. The next class starts on May 30th and ends on June 1st.

Trails North ATV’ers Inc. hopes this safety stop will help make riders more aware of the dangers associated with trail riding throughout the year and possibly save lives. For more information about this Safety Stop contact Rod Abbas at (715) 372-5969
